baby room office
I’m renting &found droppings all over my 3yr old sons cot and room. I have a new born baby. Wat r my rights?
I reported the problem to my landlord during office hours 5 days ago. After 2 days they sent a ‘handy man’ out who took a look at some droppings and said it was mice – ‘in his opinion’. No other info offered, nothing done.
I’ve put mice and rat poison down and vacated the property to a family friends house. We’ve been in contact twice with the landlord since and still nothing.
I fear for my new born as realise vermin droppins can be lethal to infants and babies never mind adults.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated – thanks
i would go straight to the council environmental health and explain situation, then i would try to secure other safe accommodation through the council because your landlord is not doing what hes supposed to. when all that is done contact your landlord and tell him what you have had to resort to.
